Our Eighth Season: 2014-2015
Storytelling at Proctors
At every Story Circle show, superb
performers tell rarely heard contemporary
and traditional stories about being human.
You will find that these shows are shared
experiences between the audience and the performer, combining the intensity of a solo performance with the intimacy of a face-to-face conversation.
Over 1,700 people have enjoyed our shows at Proctors. You can too.
Word Plays is our Sunday afternoon series in The Fenimore Gallery.
Word Plays in the Cabaret in Salem
is our newest series, basically repeating Word Play programs from Proctors for those farther north.
Tellabration is our yearly benefit performance
for local area storytelling, to be held on
Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014, 2:00 pm
in The GE Theatre:
Bridging the Divide. Details to follow by October 1.
Story by Story is our monthly public access TV show, broadcast:
in Colonie on Channel 17, early in the month, once a day for a week;
in Schenectady County on Channel 16 Fridays at 6:00 pm;
and in other Capital District locations on Time Warner Cable Channel 18 on the first Monday of each month at 12:30 pm.
You can watch
many of our performers tell stories here.
Recently Proctors CEO Philip Morris said,
"People who appreciate theatre are pleased that storytelling is
part of our offerings at Proctors. After all, storytelling is
the one of the original performing art. Since we began our partnership with Story Circle,
1,700 people have enjoyed storytelling performances here."
Come enjoy storytelling for adults at Proctors.
$2 of each ticket is donated to the Schenectady Inner City Ministry Summer Lunch
